The third annual Wahine Forum will convene from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 19, at the Sheraton Waikiki. The event brings together women leaders for networking and workshops focused on leadership, innovation and contributing to the community. Registration is available online at www.hawaiibusiness.com/Wahine.
This year’s keynote, “The Values-driven Organization,” will be presented by entrepreneurial humanitarian, philanthropist and HopeLab founder Pamela Omidyar, and HopeLab’s President and CEO, Pat Christen. They will discuss how to create a values-driven organization that generates higher returns for customers, employees, and stakeholders; engages with customers to identify opportunities for innovation; and uses social technology to push the boundaries of philanthropy and traditional business models.
The half-day event also includes six workshops led by more than a dozen local women. It is co-produced by Hawaii Business Magazine and the Junior League of Honolulu. Local speakers and moderators include: Christine Camp, Keiki-Pua Dancil, Ph.D., Faye Kurren, Elizabeth Kent, Tammy Kubo, Kim Gennaula, Karen Campbell, Jodi Ito, Wendy Shewalter, Gwen Pacarro, Janet Liang, Margery Bronster, Shara Enay, Kathryn Drury-Wagner, Terry Rollman and Sabra Morris. They will cover a range of topics, including career change, insights from women in male-dominated fields, negotiation tactics and civic/philanthropic strategies for women in leadership.
