Hawaii Business updates Best Places to Work program
From David Tumilowicz
Publisher, Hawaii Business
I am writing to ask your company to participate in Hawaii Business magazine’s Best Places to Work program. There are several changes to the program this year that might impact your company’s decision to take part:
The top three Best Places to Work in each of 4 size categories will be recognized in order: 15 to 99 employees; 99 to 249 employees; 250 to 999 employees; and more than 1,000 employees.
As no company likes to be last in a list, all other companies that qualify as Best Places to Work will be listed alphabetically.
Hawaii Business attends many job fairs to educate job seekers about the BPTW designation, which we think is a great recruiting tool.
HB will continue to identify the healthiest places to work, top nonprofits and family-friendly companies.
Best Places to Work is the best-selling issue of Hawaii Business. From the magazine’s perspective, the BPTW issue provides an opportunity to write about the importance of human capital and its impact to the bottom line.
Participation has grown substantially this year, with many new companies taking part, from Hawaii’s “blue-chip” top 250 companies to much smaller firms. All islands are represented.
The brand impact of being identified as a “Best Place to Work” will be more valuable than ever.
Participation is completely anonymous if your company does not make the list, and it’s FREE to participate.
There is also an option to get a detailed feedback report about what the employees had to say, and benchmarks against Hawaii companies -- feedback you can use to become an even better place to work. This is completely optional and there is a very nominal charge for this report. It does not weigh at all on HB’s list.
All the details about the program are at www.bestplacestoworkhi.com, including sample surveys. The deadline to sign-up (a 10-minute process) has been EXTENDED to FRIDAY, OCT. 14.
Please contact Hawaii Business publisher David Tumilowicz, (808) 534-7535 or davidt@hawaiibusiness.com, if you have any questions about BPTW.
