
Governor to host International
Women's Leadership Conference
Governor Linda Lingle will host the 4th Annual International Women's Leadership Conference on Tuesday, Sept, 25 at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. The conference will feature 11 world-renowned leaders, women from the fields of government, law, marketing, business, health care, science and technology.
- Barbara Stoker, a product development and intelligent risk expert
- Cathy Lanier, chief of police of the District of Columbia
- Stephanie Castillo, Hawaii documentary film-maker
- Mae Jemison, founder of BioSentient Corp., former astronaut
- Joyce Chang, head of emerging markets for JPMorgan
- Tracy Nguyen, founder and CEO of Affordable Quality Pharmaceuticals
- Justine Mbabazi, international lawyer and gender expert from Rwanda
- Mary Foley, CEO of Bodacious Ventures
- Shannon Lucid, NASA astronaut and holder of the U.S. space-flight endurance record
- Robin Koval, president of the Kaplan-Thaler Group
- Lynn Povich, board vice-chair of Human Rights Watch’s International Women's Media Foundation
The conference will also include video messages from Connie Chung, former MSNBC news anchor. The theme for this year's conference is "Inspiring Today, For Tomorrow."
