VLSH offers workshop series on Oahu and Big Island

Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii is presenting a series of workshops titled “Charting a Successful Course for your Nonprofit.” The workshop series runs from September to November and will be presented in Honolulu and Hilo. Each workshop costs $40. Multiple workshop discounts are available. The workshops cover eight topics:

• How to Incorporate – 1 to 2:30 p.m., Sept. 25 in Honolulu; 9 to 10:30 a.m., Nov. 6 in Hilo
• How to Obtain Tax-Exempt Status – 2:30 to 4 p.m., Sept. 25 in Honolulu; 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Nov. 6 in Hilo
• Organizational Management and Responsibilities – 9 a.m. to noon, Oct. 9 in Honolulu; 1:15 to 2:45 p.m., Nov. 6 in Hilo
• Strategic Planning – 1 to 4 p.m., Oct. 9 in Honolulu; 3 to 4:30 p.m., Nov. 6 in Hilo
• Basic Accounting and Internal Controls – 9 a.m. to noon, Oct. 3 in Honolulu; 9 a.m. to noon, Sept. 26 in Hilo
• Nonprofit Accountability – 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., Oct. 3 in Honolulu; 1 to 4 p.m., Sept. 26 in Hilo
• Fundraising and Development Basics – 9 a.m. to noon, Oct 10 in Honolulu; 9 a.m. to noon, Oct. 10, in Hilo
• Employment Law – 1 to 4 p.m., Oct. 10 in Honolulu only

Oahu workshops will be held in Room 716 of the Goldbond Building, 677 Ala Moana, Honolulu.
