Ward Centers festival is a fundraising opportunity

Ward Centers of Honolulu is offering local nonprofit organizations an opportunity to raise money for their causes by selling tickets for Festival of Giving, a three-day shopping extravaganza that takes place Nov. 7 to 9.

The $10 tickets give shoppers exclusive discounts and special offers from participating shops and restaurants throughout Ward Centers. Nonprofit groups participating in Ward Centers’ Festival of Giving will begin selling tickets in September, and the organizations will keep 100 percent of their ticket proceeds.

The Festival of Giving is a major fundraiser for many local charities and school groups. Last year’s event drew thousands of shoppers and raised $70,000 for more than 50 nonprofit groups. In addition to the exclusive discounts and special offers, shoppers with a Festival of Giving ticket will enjoy free gift-wrapping, entertainment, enter-to-win shopping sprees, and other festivities.
