The first-ever Annual Conference of Nonprofit Communities of Hawaii will convene on Tuesday, Nov. 9, and Wednesday, Nov. 10, at the Sheraton Waikiki. The new, comprehensive, professional-development conference for members of the nonprofit sector, "Strong Ties, Stronger Community," is the product of a partnership of the Association of Fundraising Professionals-Aloha Chapter, the Hawaii Alliance of Nonprofit Organizations and Chaminade University.
The new conference replaces separate annual conferences and seminars the partner organization previously offered independently. The new, holistic, integrated conference will bring together AFP, HANO and Chaminade members and constituencies, creating opportunities for interaction and collaboration for the benefit of the communities they serve and Hawaii’s nonprofit sector. Supporting partners include the Hawaii Planned Giving Council and the Aloha Society of Association Executives.
The Conference of Nonprofit Communities of Hawaii will feature more than 25 sessions over a day and a half, carefully designed by a diverse volunteer group of dedicated professionals from the Hawaii nonprofit sector. The conference features:
