Nominations are open for Philanthropy Day Awards

The AFP-Aloha Chapter has opened nominations for the 2010 National Philanthropy Day Awards. NPD is an opportunity to reflect on the meaning of giving and all that it has made possible, to show appreciation for all that has been accomplished in the name of giving, and to show there is still more to do.

NPD Award honorees are a vital philanthropic partnership that sustains our communities. The awards recognize individuals and organizations whose lifetime or long-term achievements have made a significant impact in Hawaii. Nominations are being accepted for:

• Outstanding Philanthropist
• Outstanding Professional Fundraiser
• Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser
• Outstanding Foundation
• Outstanding Small Business
• Outstanding Large Business

Deadlines for nomination submissions are:

• Online/Email by 11:59 pm, Tuesday, Sept. 7
• Mailed with a postmark by Saturday, Sept. 4
