Scholarships available for nonprofit managers

The AMA Scholarship Program, established by the American Management Association and the Leader to Leader Institute, assists social sector nonprofit organizations in developing strong leaders to lead the organizations of the future. It is designed to provide nonprofit leaders with an opportunity to step out of the day-to-day, interact with peers across the sectors and develop practical skills that they can apply immediately within their organizations.

During the scholarship year, recipients will receive intellectual resources, opportunities and discounts designed to enhance leadership effectiveness and support excellence in organizational and personal performance.

The program will strengthen the leadership, competence, and management of the social sector nonprofit organization, which will largely determine the values, the vision, the cohesion and the performance of society in the 21st century. AMA has granted 75 scholarships that will be administered by the Leader to Leader Institute. They provide:

  • One management education and professional development seminar offered by American Management Association in the United States;
  • One year individual member benefits including access to members-only website, subscriptions to e-newsletters and journals, and discount pricing on all other AMA products and services;
  • One year membership with the Leader to Leader Institute including subscription to Leader to Leader Journal and discounts on the Institute's publications and services.

The AMA Scholarship Program is available to a range of nonprofit organizations representing the social sector across the United States. These criteria are used to evaluate Scholarship applications and candidates should insure they meet the criteria before applying.
