The nonprofit sector in Hawaii represents 8 percent of the economy, employs nearly 50,000 people and spends more than $3.8 billion annually. Nonprofit organizations keep Hawai‘i healthy, culturally robust, environmentally and socially sound. The sector is a marketplace where business can thrive.
Your organization can support Hawai‘i’s nonprofits and make valuable business connections by sponsoring publications, programs and gatherings of the Hawai‘i Alliance of Nonprofit Organizations. More than 275 nonprofit organizations of all types and sizes and on all islands are HANO members. All our members are continually searching for the products and services that your business provides.
All sponsors receive:
- Listing on the HANO website with a link to the sponsor’s website
- Discounts on HANO’s quality training, workshops and seminars
- AGENDA, HANO’s monthly newsletter for Hawai‘i nonprofits
- Access to purchase member mailing labels (available to HANO sponsors only)
- Invitations to attend other HANO events
Sponsorship opportunities:
Conferences – HANO periodically brings leaders of Hawai‘i’s nonprofit organizations together to work on critical sector issues, learn from experts and focus on how to be more efficient and effective. Gatherings – By popular demand, HANO periodically calls together the leadership of nonprofit organizations on each island. A schedule of these events for 2007 will be published soon. Each gathering can be sponsored for $500. Sponsors receive prominent mention in all pre-event communications as well as signage and distribution of materials at the event.
Workshops & Seminars – HANO offers educational sessions to more than 400 nonprofit leaders and managers each year. Click here to see the current schedule. Each workshop can be sponsored for $500. Sponsors receive prominent mention in all pre-event communications as well as signage and distribution of materials at the event.
Website – HANO’s website is a valuable resource for its members, who look here for news, information and tools. HANO’s website can accept up to 5 sponsors per month at $250 per month per sponsor. Sponsor’s logo and sponsorship message will appear on the HANO home page or another selected page, in addition to the sponsor’s listing.
Monthly newsletter – HANO’s monthly enewsletter. AGENDA, reaches more than 3,200 nonprofit leaders, managers, board members and supporters each month. HANO will accept up to five newsletter sponsors per issue at $100/sponsor. Sponsor’s logo and sponsorship message will appear on the main newsletter page and on the email broadcast of the newsletter, in addition to the sponsor’s listing on HANO’s website.
Members package – HANO members nonprofits will receive a folio of information on renewal. Sponsors can support this service for $1 per package for a 12-month period. Sponsor’s brochure or flier will be included in the member package during the sponsorship period.
Printed directory or newsletter – HANO will make sponsorships available to support the publication of a member directory planned for late 2007. Information to follow.

HANO offers customized sponsorship packages and unique communications opportunities for businesses offering programs, products or services which represent a unique benefit to the membership and provide resources to support HANO’s programs.
Membership mailing labels:
