Free Census Data Workshop

This workshop, Your Neighborhoods by the Numbers: Advanced American FactFinder: Tracts, Block Groups, and Blocks, will be taught by Eric Coyle of the U.S. Census Bureau. The workshop is geared toward people with some knowledge of census data products who are interested in a more targeted and deeper dive into the key demographic, social, economic, and housing indicators available at small area geographies. Attendees will go online to obtain age, income, poverty, race, ethnicity, and other variables of interest to create community profiles, tables, and maps.

Prior to the workshop, there will be a 2020 Census update by local U.S. Census Bureau Partnership Specialist, Elisapeta Alaimaleata. The update will include information about what the 2020 Census is, when the 2020 Census is happening, and how participants can answer the Census. Elisapeta will also discuss the work that is being done in your communities and neighborhoods to encourage everyone to fill out the upcoming Census.
